My mission is to inspire beautiful and harmonious expressions between the abstract, nature, and the environments we live in.

Leila Wilson

Leila is best known for her large abstract paintings using mixed media, capturing her travels and surroundings in an intuitive way. Her eye for creating peaceful environments allows Leila to weave together harmonious color palettes into abstracted landscapes through rich layering.

As a multifaceted creative, she was formally trained at the prestigious ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and a professional certificate in design.

Wilson is a designer-turned-abstract artist who also enjoys art curation and consulting on residential and corporate projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Each piece that Leila creates breathes life. Her artwork invokes imagination and emotions. A gifted artist that sees into and beyond the canvas.

Leila Wilson at Art Worth Show 2022

"I am particularly inspired by the natural landscape which I break down into shapes and convey through a harmonious color palette."

Artist Statement

Leila’s art expresses layers of depth and fullness in her use of acrylic paint and mixed media. With an animated approach to her compositions, the artist weaves together natural landscapes and harmonious neutral color palettes to break down shapes and places.

Landscapes are brought to life through her intuitive approach of brushwork and mark-making techniques. Leila combines the spontaneous movement of acrylic paint with harmonious line work in charcoal and oil pastels. With a keen eye and masterful hand, she captures the essence of the natural landscape in impressionistic energy, telling a spirited story on each canvas.

Leila’s current body of work embodies the curious collision of calming neutrals disrupted by a hint of color, sparked by her discovery of natural habitats during her beloved travels.
